I am so proud and happy about some news I received recently. Nita Leland has been writing a new book on color for the past two years. Her publishers chose one of my paintings for the cover……….. Confident Color: An Artists Guide to Harmony, Contrast and Unity. Here’s a link to Nita’s blog with a link to article that just came out about it.
Happy Dance, Happy Dance.
Cream rises to the top! Congrats on your SECOND cover for Nita. Will look forward to seeing the book, she always does a great job. One from my bokusho series was chosen but I don't know which one as yet. I love surprises!

Glenda….you are doing some fabulous new figurative work…
Thanks for the comments.
Thank you!!! I am loving every minute of the process.
that's awesome! congratulations!
How wonderful for you. Of course, looking at your art, it is quite obvious why you were the selected artist.
I look at and enjoy abstract art more and more all of the time………I'm going to give it a serious try very soon.
Do you use acrylic?
Hi Paula,
Yes, acrylic is my usual medium for work on canvas.
However, I have been doing some work this past year with encaustic and oil, also with collage elements. I can't use the acrylic when using the wax medium.
I've also working with collage off and on for years and use acrylic with it when wax isn't involved with the process.
